The Grand Celebration took place  January 31st to February 2nd, 2020.

Friday afternoon started with a “Meet and Greet” session at Cootamundra Airport with club members welcoming many guests, handing out a program of events with accompanying map of the town.  Some minor repairs were carried out and everyone hoping the heatwave (over 40 deg C) would not cause too many problems.

Parking in the shade, strictly Angle Parking. Any “angle” you like at the Meet and Greet.

The Saturday program consisted of visits to 2 car displays, with mid day lunch among another collection of interesting vehicles, members and visitors split into 2 groups and had a wonderful time admiring and discussing various makes and models.  Dreaming and admiring the wonders of many “Collectables”.

Saturday evening was “Dinner at the Club”.   A three course meal accompanied by slide show  of (mostly) older cars with a few motor cycles and trucks thrown in.  There were some stories told, experiences shared and souvenir calendars distributed.

The Birthday Run and the Cutting of the cake

The first Sunday in February is traditionally “The Michael Livingstone Memorial Run” from Cootamundra to Jugiong.  The late Michael Livingstone was the man responsible for starting the Cootamundra Antique Motor Club (CAMC) in January 1980.  This weekend is also the time we celebrate the birthday of the club.  Everybody was very pleased that the ambient temperature was in the 30s and not the 40s as it had been for Friday and Saturday.  We even had a few showers of rain, no complaints and very refreshing.

Mr President had the wrong cutting tool for the cake!
